Why check a rental in Barcelona?
Spain is the most-booked destination for UK holidaymakers, and villa and apartment listings on the Costa del Sol, the Costa Blanca and the islands are a common target for copied-photo scams.
Local tip
Ask for the property's tourist licence number (it should appear on the listing) and, for long stays, request a Nota Simple from the land registry to see who owns it.
Your checker in Barcelona will
- Confirm the property exists at the address
- Photograph every room from the listing's angles
- Film a walkthrough and check the street, noise and parking
- Answer your own questions
